Volunteer with us!

AABANY’s PBCS relies on volunteer attorneys, law students, and interpreters to provide community members in need with high-quality general legal information and consultations. Volunteering with PBCS is a great way to meet amd serve community members, connect with other professionals in the legal field, and gain experience in different areas of law.

General roles for volunteers include:

  • Intake Screenings (remote / in-person)

  • Case Consultations (remote / in-person; one-time consultation + limited scope representation opportunities)

  • Language interpretation and translation (remote / in-person)

  • Community Presentations (remote / in-person)

  • Training & Observation (in-person)

  • Research and Writing (reports, press releases, grant writing, etc.)

  • Operations & Event Planning

  • Communications and Graphic Design

  • Fundraising

Note: Any volunteers providing direct consultations and interpretation to clinic visitors must be current AABANY members. Please make sure your AABANY membership is active before signing up to work directly with clinic visitors. Please renew your membership or sign up here to become an AABANY member.
